Handmade · One of a kind
No two alike.
One-of-a-kind jewellery, made by hand. Each stone is chosen once, set once, and never repeated — so the piece you wear exists only once.
The idea
We make one piece at a time. A stone arrives — found, inherited, or chosen — and the piece is designed around it. When it is finished, it is not repeated. What you wear exists once.
BURNISHA · one-of-a-kind atelier
Selected pieces
Made, once.
A small rotating selection — most of our work is commissioned and never listed. Each piece shown here is the only one of its kind.
Gallery
Every piece, once.
The current collection in full. When a piece sells, it is gone for good — we never repeat a design.
Bespoke
A piece made for one person.
Most of our work is commissioned. You bring a story, a stone, or simply an instinct — we make the piece around it. We take a limited number of commissions each season.
A conversation
We start by listening. What it is for, who it is for, and how you want to feel when you wear it. No obligation, no charge.
The stone
We source a stone for you, or work with one you already own — an heirloom, a pebble from a river, something you brought home from a trip.
Drawing, then wax
Sketches first, so you can say no before anything is made. Then the piece is carved in wax or forged directly — and you see it before it is cast.
Finished by hand
Set, filed, polished and engraved. It arrives with its own record — materials, where the stone came from, and the date it was finished.
The atelier
Made by hand, slowly.
Nothing here is mass-produced. Metal is melted, drawn and hammered. Stones are set by hand under a loupe. A single ring can take a week — and it will not look like any other ring we have made.

Lost-wax casting
A wax model is carved by hand, then cast once in recycled gold or silver. The wax is destroyed — so there is no mould to repeat from.
craft-02
Hand-forging
Metal is shaped with hammer and anvil. It comes out stronger than cast metal, and the hammer marks are left where they belong — on the surface.

Stone setting
Every stone is set by hand and checked under magnification, then finished so the setting sits flush against the skin.

Materials
Nothing disposable.
Recycled metals
We work in recycled 18k gold, sterling silver and platinum wherever we can. Old metal is refined and used again — it is the same gold, just not newly mined.
Traceable stones
Stones come from a small number of dealers we have known for years — or from pieces that already exist. We will tell you exactly where yours came from.
Made to outlast us
Designed to be repaired, resized and engraved again. We do repairs on our own pieces for as long as we are working.
No piece is ever reproduced. If you own one, no one else can.
